How does my family see the atlas?
You keep the atlas, and you give it to them. Open the Book in the bar at the bottom to print it or send it as a PDF, which opens on any phone or computer. Or open Settings and tap Download everything for the whole atlas in one file: the book, every photo and recording, every story, and a page that opens in any web browser. Relatives do not need the app, an iPhone or an account.
Will my atlas come back if I delete the app or get a new phone?
Yes, when you are signed in to iCloud. Atlas keeps everything in your own iCloud, so reinstalling or signing in on a new device brings back your tree, photos, recordings and letters. It can take a few minutes for large photo and video collections to download.
My changes are not reaching my family.
Check that everyone is signed in to iCloud and has free iCloud storage: when iCloud storage is full, nothing new can sync. In the Settings app tap your name, then iCloud, to see your storage. Changes made offline sync once the device is back online.
How do I keep my own copy of everything?
Open Settings in the bar at the bottom and tap Download everything. Atlas packs the whole atlas into one file: the book as a PDF, a page you can open in any web browser with the stories and photos in place, every photo and recording named for the person it belongs to, the family tree in a standard file that other family tree programs can open, and all the data in a plain file a computer can read. Keep it somewhere safe, such as a computer, an external drive or a memory stick, and take a fresh copy now and then. iCloud carries your atlas between your devices, but it is not a backup: if the iCloud data is deleted or the account is lost, your own copy is what remains. A sealed letter stays sealed in the download; it is listed with the day it opens, without the words.
Can anyone read a sealed letter early?
No one can read a sealed letter in Atlas before its day, including the person who wrote it. It is a promise the app keeps on every device, not encryption.
How do I print the Atlas Book?
Open the Book in the bar at the bottom. Choose A4 or US Letter, then print, save to Files or share the PDF with relatives who prefer paper.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open the Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then Atlas Pro, and Cancel Subscription. Your current period continues until its end date, and your atlas stays readable and exportable.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find Atlas and choose Request a refund.
I bought Atlas Pro but it is not unlocked.
Open Settings in the bar at the bottom, then Subscription, and tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with.
